Tea has always been more than just a drink to us—it’s a moment of calm, a connection to culture, and a tradition passed through generations. At Teasatia, we believe great tea should be both a daily pleasure and a meaningful ritual. That belief is at the heart of everything we do.

Teasatia began in 2012 with a simple passion: to source exceptional loose leaf teas from the tea-rich regions of Southern China—places where tea is not just grown, but deeply lived. We sought out both classics and hidden gems that were nearly impossible to find in the U.S., sharing them with a small but growing community of fellow tea lovers.

For a few years, the journey thrived. But as life pulled the original partners in new directions, the brand gradually quieted. Still, the love for tea never left.

In 2023, one of Teasatia’s co-founders, Sam, felt the pull once more. He saw that while the tea market had evolved, one thing hadn’t changed: most bagged teas still relied on low-grade fannings or tea dust, far from the rich, nuanced experience that whole leaves provide. At the same time, the beauty of loose leaf tea often came with a barrier—special tools, steepers, infusers, and extra steps that didn’t fit into every lifestyle.

Sam imagined something different: a way to bring premium, whole leaf tea to more people, and without sacrificing quality. He reached out to Andy, a lifelong friend and fellow tea enthusiast, and together they reimagined Teasatia for today’s world.
